Daphne Dovermann

Daphne is an experienced investor and strategic advisor to business owners & operators, having spent nearly 10 years working in a range of investment and commercial roles.

Daphne’s roots

Daphne grew up in a family of tradespeople and entrepreneurs – and saw how essential skilled trades are to local communities but also the costs when great businesses aren’t set up to last.

Daphne’s journey

Daphne began her career on the operating side with Rocket Internet where she helped to launch an e-commerce marketplace in South-East Asia. Driven by her desire to support companies reach their full potential, she then moved on to strategy consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners, advising companies on key growth initiatives.

Daphne then joined the investment world where she worked for a number Europe’s leading investment funds. First in private equity, where she gathered both deal and board level experience across a range of industries from large, asset-heavy businesses such as agriculture and renewables through to multi-site retail. And later in Venture Capital, as Principal at London-based venture capital firm Atomico where she partnered with founders solving legacy real-world problems with technology.

Most recently, Daphne led operations in a number of high-growth technology businesses serving traditional industries such as healthcare and agriculture. She has also continued to deepen her experience in the SME segment, supporting the acquisition of a critical systems installation business in Atlantic Canada.

Daphne graduated with distinction from the London School of Economics, earning a master’s degree in finance & private equity. She also holds a BSc in International Business from Maastricht University.
